Message It was an open discussion of why we see what we do. But motors running the same displacement, same bore, same compression ratio = same results.

Look even GT Skylines are now going to Twinturbo V6's and already running the fastest times over any RB motor.

The post was not a slam, but more like a wake up call to everyone clouded by the thoughts of what even ONLY seen. They are awesome motors yes, but they do not last like you think. A lot of the numbers you see are great as well, but they freeze there IC's as well, do all the tricks in the world to get the highest bragging number.

The VG, RB and JZ are truly awesome motors.

I've been looking for days now on a site that list the make up of the VG. I've found bits and parts and this I do know. The VG like the JZ has a Forged Steel crank, Forged Steel rods, Cast pistons with Steel inserts, the block is aluminum along with the heads with many quotes from the editors of " Motor made of the highest grade of technology same found in air craft components " . Searched over in the Japan sector for a long time as well. There are many TD06 Z's running around, seen one 3037, same with Skylines and Supra's. So the motors in general are just very capable of producing over 1000Hp and being daily cars. One thing to remember from all this, which car came first? Like all of evolution and history you'll see some car makers ( as we'll put it for this talk ), come out with a state of the art car only to have there nearest competitor release there's a few years later. In this case, follow the history of the Worlds top selling sports car, the Z. Even to this day, we have the 350Z getting all it's awards, yet the Supra rumor is now 2005 yet once again looking to have more power, possible V8 etc, etc, etc. So in the end, give yourself more credit.

Awesome info AshZ and everyone that posted on there in a mature way, sure you can pick out the immature defensive ones.
